Secret Place of Meridigen and its affiliates was Initially Revealed

“Think globally, act locally” was the core belief of Meridigen and its affiliates. Leading by the president John Hsuan and the general manager Yogi Hsuan, Meridigen and its affiliates had been committed to mesenchymal stem cell research and development and stem cell storage since it was founded in 2011.

Thanks to the efforts made by the Food and Drug Administration, the regenerative medicine consultative group formed in 2014 had proposed “Clinical Trial Application and Examination Guidelines for Human Cellular Therapy Products” and “Suitability Screening Standard for Donors of Human Cellular Therapy Products (draft).” With the standardized law and regulations related to cell treatment and the research and development of stem cell new drug, Taiwan was anticipated to be in cooperation with other countries in medical treatment around the world.

Meridigen and its affiliates not only contributed themselves to stem cell storage, basic scientific research, new drug development, molecule detection and high throughput screening system, but also collaborated with several domestic medical centers in experimentation on animals for multiple indications treatment, pre-clinical pharmacology and safety testings. Furthermore, the construction of a plant came up to PIC/PICs GMP aimed at human drug production. In addition, Meridigen and its affiliates were expected to become one of the best stem cell storage center in the world as their new facilities and hardware were ready.

As the construction of the first stem cell storage center and the laboratory came up to GMP of Meridigen and its affiliates were completed, Meridigen and its affiliates had made one more step closer toward the future of stem cell treatment.
