Cross-Straits Forum on Creative Industries Cooperation Targeting on the Field of Cultural and Creative and Biomedical

The 3rd “Cross-Straits Forum on Creative Industries Cooperation” was held in Chongqing City of Mainland China in October 25, 2015. Two main fields including cultural and creative and biomedical issues was communicated, and a Letter of Intent was signed to open a new prospect in the cross-straits cooperation.

Those who represented Taiwan were Cheng-Jin Chen, the Chief Executive Officer of National Culture and Arts Foundation (NCAF), and Min-Chih Hsuan (John Hsuan). Cheng-Jin Chen was the convener of the group of cultural and creative, and Min-Chih Hsuan (John Hsuan) was the convener of the group of biomedical. Those who represented Mainland China were Chun-Zheng Wang, the co-convener of the organizing committee of the cross-straits forum on creative industries cooperation representing Mainland China, Qi-Fan Huang, the Mayor of Chongqing City, Qing-Gai Gong, the associate director of Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council ROC, and Xiao-Tao Wang, the associate director of National Development and Reform Commission.

To promote the cooperation of cultural and creative industries between cross-straits, the “Cross-Straits Forum on Creative Industries Cooperation” had been held twice in Hangzhou and Taipei, respectively. It was the 3rd time held this year. At the call of Stan Shih, the honorary chairman of Acer, about 40 representatives of Taiwan from the field of cultural and creative, biomedical and technical had attended the forum. Every participants were looking forward to find more chances to cooperate with others.

Stan Shih, the co-convener of the organizing committee of the cross-straits forum on creative industries cooperation representing Taiwan, indicated that they would like to see the two Letters of Intent had been signed, including the fond of creative industries cooperation between the cross-straits and project of the teenagers in cross-straits growing together. He also indicated that the two Letters of Intent were hoped to be practicable to promote the development of creative industries cooperation between the cross-straits.

In addition, Maverick Shih, the general manager of the Build Your Own Cloud Group of Acer, and Yogi Hsuan, the general manager of Meridigen Biotech Co. Ltd, also attended the forum. Maverick Shih was one of the main speakers of the topic “Cooperation in IoT construction in the Grater China, and the development of IoT, intellectual chips and capital markets”, while Yogi Hsuan was one of the main speakers of the topic “Development of Health Care Industries to Improve the Quality of Service-Medical & Health Care Management and Biotechnology.”
